This year marked a truly special milestone for DMD Installations as we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our annual Golf Day, a tradition that has grown from a great day out into something far more meaningful for us as a business and as a community.

A Decade in the Making

What started as an opportunity to bring together clients, suppliers, and friends of the business has become one of the highlights of our calendar year. Ten years on, the DMDI Golf Day remains a chance to enjoy great company on the course whilst raising vital funds for causes close to all of our hearts.

This year’s event raised an incredible £44,000 for charity. We are incredibly proud to announce that, across the full ten years of the Golf Day, we have now raised over £200,000 in total. That figure represents the generosity of every player, sponsor, and supporter who has taken part, and we do not underestimate what it means to the organisations that have benefited.

A Special Thank You

The DMDI Golf Day would not be what it is without a mention of Luke Clements, who has played a huge part in making it happen year after year.

Luke first helped organise the day whilst working at Sprowston Manor, our host venue for all ten years. When he joined DMD Installations he took on the organising full time, and even after moving on to his career as a Firefighter, he never quite let go of the reins -and we are very glad he hasn’t.

A Day Like No Other

The scale of the DMDI Golf Day is something that has to be seen to be believed. With golfers teeing off from as early as 5am, 220 players make their way around the course throughout the day, representing hundreds of businesses who have shown up year after year in support of the event and the causes behind it. The golf is just the beginning – the day rounds off with an evening of entertainment, bringing everyone together to celebrate what has been achieved.

The continued loyalty of so many businesses, some of whom have supported the Golf Day since the very beginning, is something we are deeply grateful for. It is that collective generosity that has made over £200,000 possible across our ten years.

The Charities That Have Made It Matter

Across all ten events, the Golf Day has supported a range of charities, many of them personal causes brought forward by our team, clients, and partners. The organisations we have been privileged to support include The Big C, Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, The Firefighters Charity, Priscilla Bacon Hospice, and East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH), GOSH Charity, alongside a number of deeply personal causes that have touched members of our extended DMDI family along the way.

Each charity has a story, and we are grateful to everyone who trusted us to help tell it.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrated this tenth year, we were also looking forward with excitement to what comes next. Our Managing Director, Steve Bowden commented:

“We are incredibly proud of what the Golf Day has become over the past ten years, and this year’s event was truly something special. To have raised £44,000 on the day, taking our ten-year total to over £200,000, is an achievement the whole team is rightly proud of. The support we received from everyone involved was overwhelming, and whilst the day may look a little different in the future, the spirit behind it will always remain the same.”
