FAQs

Got a question about our asbestos training courses? Find answers to some of the most common queries below, or get in touch with our team directly.

Anyone who could come into contact with asbestos during their work should hold a current asbestos awareness qualification. This includes those working in construction, maintenance and demolition, as well as a wide range of trades such as electricians, plumbers, roofers, plasterers and joiners. If there is any chance your team could disturb asbestos-containing materials during their day-to-day work, training is a legal requirement.

Asbestos awareness training should be renewed annually to remain compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Our team can advise on renewal schedules and help you keep track of when your team’s qualifications are due for refresh.

Cat A is the asbestos awareness course, designed to ensure delegates understand the risks of asbestos and how to avoid disturbing it. Cat B covers non-licensable works, providing the practical and theoretical skills needed to carry out work that may disturb low-risk asbestos-containing materials. Our team can advise which course is appropriate for your requirements.

The easiest way to book is to fill in our enquiry form and Chris, our trainer, will be in touch to discuss your requirements and confirm availability. If your need is urgent, give us a call today and we will do our best to help straight away.
